There is an old expression "It's good to be the King"! A great time was had by all at the Spring Convention in Red Stick, Louisiana. AAF Baton Rouge sure knows how to throw a party!
Kingfish Curtis would like to welcome you to the AAF District 7 Website. It is my intention for you to use this site as a reference, gathering information, guidance, and for a few laughs. I would like to thank the talented people who put this Web site together. I plan to keep this site full of fresh ideas, timely information and as a resource for you and your clubs. To do this I need your help! As the Kingfish would say, "it's what the people want". If you have information or ideas that could help other clubs, please let us know. With the use of this Web site, our Facebook site and our conference calls, we should be able to get information to our members quickly.
This technological age of instant information is amazing! Huey Long would have loved this communication process. I want to utilize it too. Please frequent this site as often as possible as we will have several new features this year. The first being our club & member spotlight section. These sections will allow our District to spotlight clubs and members who have exuberated special things that make their clubs better. The next feature is our photo section. Our members love pictures. Please submit them to our web site coordinator, Becky White, bwhite@eubankbetts.com.
I remember when I began my journey with this organization first as a member, then as a local director. I couldnt help but get caught up in the excitement of the folks I worked with and their desire to achieve great things. I have gotten to know a lot of you personally over the years. The friendships I have made will last a lifetime. This organization has helped me develop professionally. I look forward to experiencing great things with you this year.
I would like to express to you all what an honor it is to lead such a great organization. The road to get here was worth it. I am beginning my tenure as your Governor. That's correct, Your Governor! As the Kingfish, I plan to represent you with class, dignity and have some fun along the way. I hope all of you will experience what I'm experiencing as we trek through this next year together.
